Dorothy Ann Broad, 85, of Brownsboro, passed away Wednesday. Mrs. Broad was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Buford Broad, parents, Robert and Nora Cowley, and sister, Mary Miner.
She was a lifelong member of Big Cove Cumberland Presbyterian Church, and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, where she served as past State President. She was also a lifelong resident of the Big Cove area.
Survivors include her daughters, Deborah Drake and husband, Mickey, and Sandra Bridges and husband, Mike; grandchildren, Brian Drake and wife, Raycheal, Michael Drake and wife, Shannon, Meredith McColgan and husband Jayson, and Corley Phillips and husband, Clay; ten great-grandchildren; special friend, Jerry Creel; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Campground Cemetery in Big Cove with Dr. Ed Soule officiating.
