Doris Wilson was born in Florence, Alabama on March 27, 1923. She peacefully passed on March 3, 2015, at Glenwood Center in Florence, Alabama. She lived most of her life in Florence with her husband of 65 years, James Elden Wilson, who preceded her in death in 2009. She spent those years as a wife, homemaker, and member of Central Baptist Church in Florence. She spent her last six years as an active, cheerful resident of Glenwood Center.
She is survived by one daughter, Janeen McGee; and two sons, James Wilson and Johnny Wilson. She is also survived by six grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will begin at 9am Friday at Greenview Funeral Home followed by the service at 10am in the funeral home chapel. Officiating will be Jim Thacker.
