Mrs. Doris Jean Freeman, 79 of Huntsville, formerly of Arab, passed away Saturday October 5, 2019 at Hospice Family Care of Huntsville.
Mrs. Freeman was born October 11, 1939 in Frederick Maryland to Floyd Nestler and Anna Margaret Tomas. She was married to John Wayne Freeman for 62 years. She was employed by UAH as a legal secretary until her retirement. She enjoyed reading, playing cards, shopping and watching western movies, she cherished her family and especially her grandchildren.
Mrs. Freeman was a member of Arab First United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband: John Wayne Freeman; her daughter and son-in-law: Stacie Margaret Lurenz and Fred; her grandchildren: Chelsey Freeman Long and Elliot, Addiyson Brielle Lurenz and Aiden Fletcher Lurenz. She was preceded in death by her son: John Wayne “Johnny” Freeman Jr.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday October 9, 2019 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel with Rev. Steve West, officiating. Burial will be in Brookwood Cemetery with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.
Pallbearers will be Johnny R. Johnson, Fred Lurenz and Elliott Long.
Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday October 8, 2019 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel.
