Doris Ann Claburn Dendy, 89 of Arab died Sunday February 26, 2017 at her residence.
Mrs. Dendy was born November 11, 1927 in Purvis Mississippi to William Bolney Claburn and Martha Lee Pesnell Claburn. She was a homemaker. Her husband Jesse Ray Dendy preceded her in death July 16, 1997. She traveled extensively with her husband, who was in the oil business. Throughout their lives together, they lived in numerous places around the world including Norway, Scotland, Australia, The Cameroons, along with multiple locations along the east and gulf coast of the United States.
She was a member of New Brashiers Chapel United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Dendy is survived by her children and in-laws: Phillip and Connie Dendy, Charlene Pultz and Janet Dendy; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents: William and Martha Claburn; her husband: Jesse Ray Dendy; her sons: David Dendy and Richard Dendy; her son-in-law: Ronald Pultz; six brothers and two sisters and one grandchild.
Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday February 28, 2017 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel with Rev. Mike Shirley and Rev. Roy Bryant, officiating. Burial will be in Brashiers Chapel Cemetery with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.
Pallbearers will be Lloyd Dendy, Jesse Dendy, Cody Manuel, Shane Manuel, Stephen Manuel, Clint Conrad and John Conrad.
Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Monday February 27, 2017 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel.
