Funeral service for Dorinda Joye Milligan Pierunek, age 56, of Decatur, will be Thursday, September 14, 2017, 1:00 p.m. at Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dr. Jackie Kay officiating. The family will receive friends for two hours prior to service. Interment will be in Friendship Methodist Church Cemetery, Vinemont, AL.
Mrs. Pierunek, who died Friday, September 8, 2017, at her residence, was born January 29, 1961, in Roseland, IL, to Hershel Milligan and Emmer Matthews Milligan. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Billy Milligan and Dale Milligan, and one sister, Frances Dalton.
She is survived by her loving husband, David Pierunek of Decatur; one daughter, Melinda Phillips of Memphis, TN; one brother, James Milligan of Priceville; and one sister, Helen Gatlin of Decatur.
Pallbearers will be Mark Caldwell, Sam Weatherspoon, Brian Wallace, Ricky Millwood, Dillard Trussell, and Steve Carle.
