Mr. Donnie “Big Daddy” Martin, age 55, a resident of Bon Aqua, TN, passed away Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at his residence.
Born on September 20, 1961 in Williamson County, Donnie was the son of Frances Poteete Martin and the late Donald Martin. He attended Burwood School and was of the Baptist faith. Donnie worked as a painter, and while painting you always knew he was happy when he was whistling. He was a great whistler and had mastered the Andy Griffith tune. Donnie’s favorite past time was going camping with his family.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his sons: Donnie (Emily) Martin of Centerville, Shane (Dawn) Martin of Bon Aqua, Danny (Tiffany) Martin of Bon Aqua; daughter: Michelle Martin of Bon Aqua; brother: William “Billy” (Brenda) Martin; sister: Donna (Burl) Newcome; and eighteen grandchildren.
Along with his father, Donnie was preceded in death by his brother: Ronnie Martin; and sisters: Kathy Harris and Teresa Stovall.
