Donald Ray Bailey, age 72 of Jasper, passed away on Friday, November 27, 2020 at his residence.
He was a Vietnam Veteran where he received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Purple Heart, Vietnam Unit Citation, Combat Infantryman’s Badge, Gallantry Cross with Silver Star, Air Medal (2D Oak Leaf Cluster) and Good Conduct Medal. He was a truck driver for 30 years.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 29, 2020 at 12:00 p.m. at Collins-Burke Funeral Home, funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the Collins-Burke Chapel. Burial will be at Boldo Cemetery. Ricky Berger will officiate.
Mr. Bailey was preceded in death by his Wife-Sandra Kaye Morris Bailey; Parents-Bill and Opal Bailey; Brother-Robert “Mickey” Bailey.
He is survived by his Daughters-Jennifer Blankenship (Richard) of Parrish and Lorrie Lawson (Donny) of Cordova; Sisters-Glenda Jo Capps (Jim) of Jasper, Linda Sue Arron (Roger) of Fayette, Judy Lawson (Donny) of Jasper, Myra Summerville of Cullman and Connie Handley (Ricky) of Cullman; Sister-in-law-Doris Bailey of Jasper; 8 Grandchildren; 9 Great Grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Justin Akins, Joshua Akins, Jake Lawson, Nick Lawson, Nathan Lawson and Dusty Howell.
