Donald Gordon Thrasher was born November 28, 1963 in Waynesboro, TN, the son of Virginia Thrasher Whetstone of Florence, AL, who survives and the late Bobby Gene Thrasher. Mr. Thrasher departed this life on Monday, September 11, 2017 at Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital in Florence, Alabama at the age of 53 Years, 9 Months, 14 Days.
Donald was of the Baptist faith and a graduate of Collinwood High School where was a member of the Trojan Basketball and Football teams. He was a Tennessee Volunteer fan and enjoyed fishing trips with his daughter, Kelcey.
Survivors, other than his mother, are a daughter, Kelcey Michelle Thrasher of Florence, AL; a sister, Pam Hill of Florence, AL; brothers, Bobby Allen Thrasher of Florence, AL and James Warren Thrasher of Killen, AL.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be given to the Salvation Army or a charity of your choice.
A private family graveside service will be held with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County assisting the family.
