Donald David Rogalski, III, age 54, a resident of Columbia, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, December 27, 2024, at St. Thomas Midtown.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 3, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Rick Points officiating. Following the service, he will be laid to rest in the Garden of Love in Maury Memorial Gardens. A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 2, 2025, from 5:00 – 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Born on March 6, 1970, in Trenton, Michigan, Don was the son of the late Donald David Rogalski Jr. and the late Anita Jean Stidham Warren. Known for his unwavering work ethic, Don spent many years as a truck driver for Pepsi before dedicating the last thirteen years to Garda World. He was also a talented craftsman who owned two successful businesses: Knock Knock Wood Shop and Don’s Custom Holsters.
Don had a passion for life, evident in his love for three-gun shooting, firearms, dirt track racing, drinking coffee, and camping. He was known for his big heart, caring nature, and infectious sense of humor that brought laughter to everyone around him. Above all, Don cherished his family, especially his daughter Mercedes and his grandsons, Preston and Parker, who were the light of his life.
He is survived by his daughter, Mercedes Rogalski (Nicholas Steele) of Columbia, TN; his loving companion, Nicole Chapman of Columbia, TN; and his beloved grandsons, Preston and Parker Steele. He also leaves behind his siblings: Roy (Donna) Dandy of Colorado, Paula (Jason) Mifsud of Michigan, Stacey Rogalski of Michigan, Elizabeth (Troy) Pierce of Michigan, Kenny (Kelly) Dandy of Michigan, David (Heather) Dandy of Michigan, Dawn (John) Lipa of Michigan, Richard (Holly) Rogalski of Michigan, Michael (Kristin) Rogalski of Michigan, and Christopher Rogalski of Michigan; and his stepmother, Linda Rogalski.
In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by his niece, Gracie Rogalski; his grandparents, Donald Rogalski Sr., Mary Lou Rogalski, and Candace Ramsey; and his beloved dog, Gucci.
Those proudly serving as pallbearers will be Roger Fox, David Dandy, Rick Rogalski, Michael Rogalski, Kenny Dandy, Christopher Rogalski, and Harper Rogalski.
Don’s legacy of kindness, humor, and devotion to family will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
