Dolores Ann (Dody) Johnson passed away Monday evening, February 6, 2017, at her home. She was born in Lester, Alabama on March 12th, 1937 and was 79 years old. She was the co-owner of Johnson Foods in Pulaski for 45 years. Dody was a church elders wife for 40 years where she devoted her time to serving her church, her family, and the community. With the heart of a caregiver she spent a majority of her time serving others. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.

Visitation will be 11 o’clock until 2 o’clock Wednesday, February 8th, 2017, at Bennett-May-Giles County Funeral Home.
The funeral service will follow at 2:00pm in the chapel of Bennett-May-Giles County Funeral Home with Bro. Jeff Jenkins officiating.
The burial will follow in the Hesters Chapel Cemetery in Lester, Alabama.

The family suggests that memorial donations be made to the Hesters Chapel Cemetery c/o Brenda Durham 30845 Lester Road Lester, Alabama 35647

She was preceded in death by her parents James and Pauline Cowan Gatlin. Her husband Johnny Bryant Johnson. Brother Walter Cole Gatlin along with her sister Sandra Amerson
She is survived by her sons Jonathan (Heather) Johnson of Pulaski. Matthew (Carla) Johnson of Pulaski. Mark (Cindy) Johnson of Pulaski.
Grandchildren, Lucas, Anna, Sawyer, Benjamin, Noah, Shawn, and Seth.
Great-grandchildren, Kirk, Emma, Justin, and Ciana.
Sister-in-laws Jeri Jenkins and Evelyn Capley.
Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Bennett-May-Giles County Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements for Dolores Ann (Dody) Johnson.
