Austin Viall 81, of Tuscumbia, AL passed away Sunday February 5, 2017.
A memorial service will be held 3:00pm Sunday, February 12, 2017 at The Chapel Sheffield, 600 N. Columbia Ave., Sheffield, AL. Chris Stokes will officiate. Interment will take place at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery.
He was a native at Sheffield, AL. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and was retired from the U.S. Navy as a Senior Master Chief, Petty Officer with twenty-two years of service. He was also a retired electrician and retired instructor with Northwest Shoals Community College.
Survivors are his wife Rebecca Viall, Tuscumbia; sons Larry Wayne Viall (Ginger), Tuscumbia; step-son Joseph E. McGlathery (Kristen), Gardendale; brother: Bobby Jo Viall, Springville; sisters: Mae Whitmore (Randy), and Kathy Woods (Dennis); one granddaughter and three grandsons.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Amedisys Hospice, Mitchell Hollingsworth, Dr. Merideth Pickett, and all friends and family who helped and visited.
