On Tuesday, November 2, Diana Ramasco Woods, loving wife of Bernie for 59 years and wonderful mother of four, peacefully passed away at Redstone Hospice at age 82.

Brilliant and precocious, Diana was born on October 14, 1939, in New York City to Ado and Mary Ramasco. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the College of New Rochelle, and, after marrying and moving to Huntsville in 1960, went on to earn her Master of Arts in Psychology from Alabama A&M and later her Master of Education in Counseling from the University of Alabama. Diana taught Special Education for 16 years at Lincoln Elementary School and served for nine more years as an Elementary School Counsellor at Roger B. Chaffee Elementary School, finally retiring after 25 years with Huntsville City Schools to travel with Bernie, enjoy her happy place at Blue Mountain Beach, and share her mastery of Jeopardy with her grandkids.

Diana will be deeply missed by her four children Michael (Karen), Diana (Joe), Andrea (Peter), and Krista (Mark); and eight grandchildren, Clare, Reilly Kate, Michaela, Mary Grace, Ann Caroline, Peter Joseph, Jack, and Hannah.

A funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, November 6, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church.
