Curtis Neal, age 84 of Tullahoma, passed away on Wednesday, November 3, 2021, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born on February 15, 1937, to the late John Thomas and Mamie (Reese) Neal. Curtis, also known as “Pa Digit” was a fine man of few words, but when he told you something that’s how it was. He never sat still and was always on the go, whether it be out in the yard mowing with his three-mower contraption, working in his garden, or just driving around town and stopping by Damron’s to have breakfast. Curtis retired from Rogers Group after twenty-five years of service driving the low boy truck, hauling big equipment. At the time of his retirement, he was the only employee to have won the Safety Award every year for not having any wrecks or tickets. Curtis loved his family and spoiling the grandkids. He will be missed terribly by his family and friends but with a peaceful heart we know he is reunited and home with the love of his life, his beautiful wife, Dorothy and Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. In addition to his parents, Curtis was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Redfern Neal; brothers, J.F. “Buck” Neal, Alton Ray Neal, Billy Glenn Neal, and Gerald R. Neal; sisters, Frances Neal Haley, and Mary Louise Durham; and daughter, Diane Spry. He is survived by his loving daughters, Amy Hutchins and Donna (Jacky) Bean, both of Tullahoma; sister, Odell Dudley of Estill Springs; grandchildren, Daniel (Mackenzie) Hutchins of Huntsville, Alabama, Bridget (James) Hensley of Tullahoma, and Amber Hutchins of Nashville; and great-grandchildren, Ashton Thomas, Wyatt Hensley, and Honey Hensley, all of Tullahoma, and Allie Loos of Belvidere. Visitation will be from 5-8pm on Friday, November 5, 2021, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, November 6, 2021, in the Moore-Cortner Chapel with Rev. John Gibson officiating. Interment will follow at Franklin Memorial Gardens.
