Dewey Keith Bowling, age 57, passed away at his home in Toney on Thursday, March 26, 2020 after an all-too-brief battle with Glioblastoma brain cancer. Keith was born in Athens, Alabama to Dewey Edward and Royce Ann Bowling, and was the second of their five children.
Keith was a 1980 graduate of Athens High School and went on to become a talented and skilled carpenter, a trade he plied as a builder and master craftsman most of his life. Keith loved spending time with friends and family, going out to sing Karaoke with his beloved wife Katrina, and was always up for a game of cards. He was known for his eagerness to lend a helping hand, do something mischievous to make someone smile, spoil his grandbabies, and root for Alabama football.
Keith was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his wife, Katrina; sons, Jarrod and Harrison; stepchildren, Brittney (Darrell), Kaylyn and Blake; grandchildren, Jagger and Blaire; sisters, Sonjia (KI) and Selina (Brian); brothers, Kent (Melody) and Kirk (Lacey); many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A Graveside service will be held on Sunday, March 29, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. at Roselawn Cemetery in Athens, Alabama with Keith’s uncle, O.D. Bowling, officiating. Flowers may be sent to Limestone Chapel Funeral Home in Athens, Alabama.
