Deretha M. Tomlinson, age 77, of Haleyville, AL. passed away June 11, 2016. She was a member of New Bethel Baptist, Wiley Branch community, retired seamstress.
Visitation is Monday, June 13, 2016 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home-Haleyville, Funeral service is Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Ferlon Baker officiating. Burial to follow in Hillcrest City Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, J.L. Tomlinson; children, Loretta Kinkead and Linda Hamby; step-daughter, Karen Elkins; step-son, Alan Tomlinson; sisters, Kathleen Cook and Carolyn Massey; grandchildren, John Bradley, Jennifer McNutt, Tracy Kinkead, Telina Elkins and Scott Elkins; 17 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. A host of relatives, coworkers and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Olen Vester Walker and Amy Frolie Crumpton Walker;
brothers, Quinton Walker and James Walker; sisters, Lafaria Acers Bridgmon, Maudie Mashburn and Essive”Pat”Kilgore; sons in law, Al Hamby and Don Kinkead; grandson, Scott Bradley.
