Dennis Wayne Brewer, 60, of Pocahontas, passed away Saturday, February 24, 2024, at UAB Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama.
He was born in Corinth, MS on Wednesday, February 27, 1963, the son of the late John Martin Brewer and Josephine McClintock Brewer McGee, who survives.
In addition to his mother, he leaves, five daughters, Maribeth Smith (Randy) of Walnut, MS, Erica Martin (Michael) of Tupelo, MS, Haley White (Dustin Mills) of Hickory Valley, TN, Melinda White of Middleton and Kelsey Moon (Dustin) of Sullivan, IL; three sons, Joshua Brewer (Tammy) of Walnut and Larry Bohon of Illinois and, Jon Michael Brewer of California; a half-sister, Beckie Shirley (Doug) of Woodstock, GA; a half-brother, Mike Brewer (Sharon) of Ackworth, GA; and nine grandchildren, Addi Brewer, Kaleigh Ware, Layla Smith, Aidan Smith, Carson Smith, Tamillia and Anthony Holley, Ava and Paisley Martin.
Mr. Brewer had worked for US Silica in Jackson, TN, Thyssen-Krupp Elevator (Dover) in Middleton, where he served as union president, Harman Automotive in Bolivar and as a dispatcher for the Hardeman County Sheriff’s Department. He was a member of the Oak Grove Independent Methodist Church near Pocahontas and, in his leisure time, enjoyed reading, surfing the internet and working with plants. He was an animal lover who loved to learn new things and surveying the political landscape of America.
He had lived the biggest part of his life in Hardeman County around the Pocahontas community.
