Dennis Staton passed August 3, 2025 at around noon at his home in Lineville, Al.
He served in the Navy during the Vietnam War, and was a craftsman when it came to wood working. He was a carpenter all his life and had lifelong friends that are too many to count and a string of cousins that loved him. Ginger saved him from himself some 35 yrs back for sure. He loved his family and cuzzes and always made time for a fishing trip once or twice a year with his friends. He didn’t always use ‘cooth’ (as mom would call it) to share an opinion about stuff but you always knew how he felt. Lynyrd Skynyrd sings a song about a Simple Man. Thanks again for being the hero to us all.
Dennis is survived by his beautiful wife of 35 years Ginger Crocker Staton; a daughter, Tonya Perry; a son, Royce Crocker; grandson, Daniel Perry, great-grandson, Neil Michael Perry; two sisters, Donna Jones and Sandy Delapenotiere; brother, John Staton; and several nieces, nephews and other extended family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Gene and Billie Staton.
No services are planned at this time.
