Dennis Ray Mitchell, age 62, passed away on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at his residence. He was born June 14, 1961 to Therman Lige and Martha Ann Patterson Mitchell. Dennis was a 1979 graduate of Okolona High School and later graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Mississippi State University. He was a member of West Heights Baptist Church. Dennis was the owner of A Plus Furniture Frames. He was an avid turkey and deer hunter and enjoyed being outdoors.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at 4 PM, at Browning Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Hamilton officiating and Greg Williams and John Holland will deliver the eulogy and share reflections. Browning Funeral Home in Pontotoc is honored to assist the Mitchell family.
Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Debbie Knox Mitchell; a son, Lige Mitchell (Paris); a daughter, Dr. Katelyn Mitchell; two grandchildren, Halo and Cross Mitchell; a sister, Melanie Lake (Bill) and two brothers, Randy Mitchell and Scott Mitchell.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister-in-law, Melinda Mitchell.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 PM, Wednesday at the funeral home.
