Dennis A. Kross – Obituary

Dennis A. Kross, 74 of Huntsville passed away on June 3, 2016. Survivors include his wife of 45 years: Linda Kross; son: David (Rosemary) Kross; granddaughters: Pearce and Tygen; his stepson: Jon (Amy) Liddie; grandson: Evan Liddie; granddaughter: Alexandria Liddie; stepson: Robert Liddie; grandson: Logan Liddie and sister: Dianna Reynolds. Dennis worked for NASA for over 40 years with assignments at Marshall Space Flight Center, NASA Headquarters, Johnson Space Center and Kennedy Space Center. Mr. Kross received the Presidental Meritorious Executive in the Senior Executive Service, the NASA Outstanding Leadership Medal, the NASA Exceptional Service Medal and the Silver Snoopy. Dennis was a graduate of the University of Michigan in aeronautical engineering and he also received a Masters Degree in Engineering Mechanics from UAH. After retiring he was a faithful volunteer at the Huntsville Botanical Gardens Galaxy of Lights and also worked out at his gym daily. Dennis loved to watch his grandchildren play sports. A celebration of life will be held Thursday June 9, 2016 at West End Grill, 6610 Old Madison Pike , Huntsville, AL 35806 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Huntsville Botanical Gardens Galaxy of Lights or Central United Methodist Church Youth Fund, 616 Jackson St. Decatur, AL 35601. Berryhill Funeral Home is assisting the family.
