Delona Lipscomb, 83, of Moulton, Alabama passed away Friday, July 5, 2024 at her residence surrounded by her loved ones. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Monday, July 08, 2024, at Old Town Creek Baptist Church. The funeral service will be at 3:00 PM on Monday, July 8, 2024, at Old Town Creek Baptist Church with Bro. Brandon Kerby and Randall Parker officiating. Burial will be at Old Town Creek Baptist Church.
Born on August 16, 1940, to Charles and Weltha Morgan Pace, Delona retired from Borden Dentistry. She was also a member of Old Town Creek Baptist Church. Delona’s favorite pass time was taking care of her flower beds, but most importantly taking care of her grandkids.
Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Joe Lipscomb Jr.; six children, Tammy (Randall) Parker, Deborah (Jerry) Roden, Rita (Rickey) Thompson, Mike Gann, Tim (Beverly Terry) Lipscomb, and Alan Gann; 15 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lila Glenn and Elaine McKissack; one brother, Larry (Brenda) Pace; special friends, Vicky Borden and Marie Snyder; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Delona was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Weltha Pace; two sisters, Deloris Pace and Demaris Jones; and one brother, Allen Hugh Pace.
Pallbearers will be Justin Gann, Wyatt Gann, Mylan Gann, Ethan Parker, Landon Thompson, and Blake Thompson.
Honorary Pallbearers are Eli Gann, Joe Gann, and Zack Lovelady.
The family extends special thanks to Aveanna Hospice, Megan Terry, Paige Pylant, and her two caregivers, Deborah Paulson and Lisa Hart.
