Delmer CodyDelmer Leon Cody, 87, of Killen, AL, passed away December 6, 2025 at his home. Delmer was a native of Lawrence County, TN and was retired from Murray Ohio Manufacturing. He was a member of Pleasant Valley Church of Christ and was a United States Army Veteran. Delmer was well known for being witty and he had jokes for days for everybody he met. He had an outgoing personality who never met a stranger. Delmer adored his family and especially loved the Alabama Crimson Tide. He was very proud of his service in the United States Armed Forces. Delmer is survived by: Son: Jeff Cody Daughter: Shelley James (Tim) Sister: Evelyn Lovell (Frank) Several Grandchildren and Great-grandchildren- Delmer had a very close bond with Lillee James and Braydon Nichols Special Friend: Vonda Thompson Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends He was preceded in death by: Wife: Joyce Cody Parents: Marshall Cody and Gladys Quillen Cody Several brothers and sisters preceded him in death Visitation will be Tuesday, December 9, 2025, from 11:00 A.M until 1:00 P.M. at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 1:00 P.M. in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Miles Stutts and Ricky Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Center Hill Cemetery with full military honors. Pallbearers will be Braydon Nichols, Tony Scott, Jeff Trousdale, Stann Cody, Jonathan Johnson, and Cazz Brown. The family would like to thank Florence Nursing & Rehab for their care. They would also like to thank Preferred Hospice, especially Nina Lovelace, for all their care during this difficult time. The family would like to especially thank Alyse Beasley for all her love and support.
