Della Eubanks Starkey, 92 of Birmingham, formerly of the New Friendship Community, passed away Monday, January 1, 2024, at the Greenbriar @ the Altamont Home in Birmingham. Della was born April 10, 1931, in Marshall County, the daughter of N. J. “Steward” Eubanks and Lizzie Ferguson Eubanks. She was a graduate of Arab High School Class of 1949 and received her master’s degree from UAH. She worked at Redstone Arsenal until retirement.
She is survived by a host of cousins and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her husband: Alton Starkey, parents: Steward and Lizzie Eubanks and a brother: Max Eubanks.
Funeral Service will be 12:00 p.m. Friday, January 5, 2023, at Gober Funeral Chapel. The burial will be in New Friendship Cemetery, Gober Funeral Chapel directing.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until service time at 12:00 p.m. Friday at Gober Funeral Chapel.
