Delano Ray Canerday, 83, of St. Joseph, passed away September 6, 2016 at his residence.
He was a member of the Stutts Road Church of Christ and the Fraternal Order of Police. He was formerly employed at H. D. Lee Co., a policeman for St. Joseph, and Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.

Survivors include:
Wife: Dorothy (Dot) Ann Williams Canerday
Daughter: Lisa Smith and husband Arthur – Summerville. SC
Sister: Frances Marie Jaynes – Florence
Grandchildren: Misty Wilburn and husband Dustin – Revilo
Kimberly Salcido and husband Ramon – Summerville, SC
Great Grandchildren: Anabelle Salcido, Gracie Wilburn, Sofia Salcido, & Hope Wilburn

Preceded in death by:
Parents: Clebern and Lutie Williams Canerday
Sister: Shirley Jean Davis

Visitation will be Friday, September 9, from 12:00-3:00pm at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 3:00PM with Tim Grigsby and Perry Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Shiloh Church of Christ Cemetery with Full Military Honors
