DECATUR-The Decatur Police Department’s Special Operations United executed a search warrant for narcotics on March 5, 2014 on a residence in Decatur, Here is what the Police Department had to say about serving the warrant:
“SYNOPSIS OF OFFENSE & ARREST:
On March 5th 2014, members of the Decatur Police Department’s Special Operations Unit executed a narcotics search warrant at the residence of 1012 Routon Drive Southwest Decatur, Alabama.
During the execution of the warrant, Cedric Orinthia Hamilton was detained while attempting to leave the residence in a vehicle. Officers then made entry into the residence.
During the search, officers located a quantity of cocaine, a quantity of marijuana and drug paraphernalia inside the residence. After further investigation, Hamilton was also found to be in possession of an additional quantity of cocaine on his person. Hamilton was placed under arrest for Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Hamilton was transported to Decatur City Jail where he was booked in and processed.
Hamilton will later be transferred to the Morgan County Jail in lieu of a $3,500.00 bond.”
