Debra Denise Duckett Carter, age 69, of Boaz, passed away peacefully at her residence on Sunday, September 14, 2025. She was born on December 27, 1955, to the late Wiley and Gail Duckett.
Debra was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She had a gentle spirit, a giving heart, and a way of making those around her feel loved. Her greatest joy was her family, and she poured her life into creating memories that will be cherished for generations to come.
She is survived by her son, Josh (Sabrina) Carter; daughter, Brooke (Anthony) Galimore; grandchild, Shelby (Alex) Hasting; great-grandchild, Waylon Ford; sisters, Dianne (Stacy) Vaughn and Shani (Terry) Kammers; nieces and nephews, Chastity (BJ) Cleveland, Jennifer Riggins, and Adam Bolden; and great-nieces and nephews, Trey (Claire) Cleveland, Jace Cleveland, Jada (Chaz) Lindsay, and Dalton Williams. She is also remembered fondly by a host of extended family and dear friends who will miss her smile and kindness. In addition to her parents, Debra was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Michael Carter.
She was deeply loved and will be remembered always with affection and gratitude by those blessed to know her. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
