ย Barbara Lynne Gordon Butler, 70, of Ardmore, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, September 12, 2025, in Huntsville, Alabama at Huntsville Hospital.
Barbara was born on Sunday, August 7, 1955, to the late Mr. William David Gordon and Mrs. Leura Mae Hicks Gordon in Athens, Alabama.
She spent much of her life in in the Bryson Community where she was a member of Dellrose Church of Christ.
In her free time, Barbara loved visiting and shopping with the Amish and attending yard sales. She loved cooking as well as canning fruits and vegetables. Mrs. Barbara loved travelling, especially to the Rocky Mountains. She loved all her grandkids as well as her bonus grandkids.
She was preceded in death by both of her parents, mother-in-law: Sarah Butler, father-in-law: Matt Butler, sister-in-law: Kristy Butler, as well as her brother-in-law: Bobby Moore,
Barbara is survived by her husband of 50 years, Bobby Butler, one daughter, Lori (Stuart) Gatlin, two sisters: Lila (Ricky) Wray Berzett and Angela Moore, two grandchildren: Wyatt Gatlin and Levi Gatlin, as well as three bonus grandchildren: Chelsea Bryan, Aubrey Bryan, and Beau Bryan,
A visitation will be held at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home in Ardmore, Alabama on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. A chapel service will follow directly afterwards at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow in Hasting Cemetery. Bro. Jerry Reynolds and Bro. Mike Hovis will officiate the service.
Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home will be assisting the family with services.
