Debra Dee (Ferris) Banta, 58, of Abingdon, Illinois, was taken home Tuesday, February 4, 2015 at her residence in Huntsville, Alabama. Farmer’s daughter, Military wife, beloved mother, sister and grandmother.
Survived by her husband, Dr. Irvin Joseph Banta III; daughter, Niña Dee Banta; son, Irvin Joel Banta IV and wife Rachel Marie (Capitano) and their daughter, Elizabeth Kate; brothers: James Gary Ferris and Daniel Robert Ferris; sisters: Marsha Kay Ferris and Jeri Lynn (Ferris) Alsman.
Visitation will be Saturday, February 7, 2015, from 12:00pm – 2:00pm at Southwood Presbyterian Church. A celebration of life will be held at 2:00pm with Rev. Jean F. Larroux III officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery.
