Debra Atkinson, 61, of Madison passed away on November 29, 2016 after a battle with lung disease with family by her side.
Born April 6, 1955 to the late J.B. and Rose Rhoden in Ft. Riley, KS. She married William Atkinson, of Madison, in 2001.
She is survived by four children: Rian Reyes, of Englewood; Rory Reyes, of Madison; Kalia Belessis, of Pensacola; and Skyler Atkinson, of Madison.
She was a RN, a foster parent and mother to many “children”. She loved fishing, cooking and feeding everyone. She was always straight with you no matter how hard it was to hear. With her caring, selfless manner and effusive personality, she will be loved by many for many years.
Visitation for Mrs. Atkinson will be Monday, Dec. 5, 2016 from 10:00 – 12:00 with the service at 12:00. Burial will follow at Huntsville Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Manna House.
