Deborah Jeanet “Debbie” Lawrence Goodson, 61 of Lacey’s Spring, Alabama died Monday September 19, 2016 at her residence.
Mrs. Goodson was born March 3, 1955 in Madison County, Alabama to Donald Gene Lawrence and Dorothy Culbreath Lawrence. She worked as a contracting officer for Redstone Arsenal. She was married to Michael Felton Goodson for 43 years. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, going to the beach and she enjoyed her flowers.
She was a member of Brindlee Mountain Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years: Michael ‘Mike” Goodson; her parents: Donald G. and Dorothy Lawrence; her daughter and son-in-law: Megan and Eric Johnson; grandchildren: Alyssa Dawn Johnson and Canaan Lee Johnson; nephew: Christopher Short; a brother; Donnie Lawrence and a sister and brother-in-law: Sylvia and Clifford Short.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday September 22, 2016 at Brindlee Mountain Chapel in Morgan City with Brother: Eldridge Criscoe, officiating. Burial will be in Union Grove Cemetery, Lacey’s Spring with Brindlee Mountain Chapel and Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.
Pallbearers will be Billy Lamb, Terry Hamilton, Ken Thomas, Chris Short, Gene McCormick and Rick Hych.
Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday September 21, 2016 at Brindlee Mountain Chapel Morgan City.
