Deborah Diane Moles, born on April 9th, 1961, of Nauvoo, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on September 21, 2025.

Family and friends are invited to say goodbye to Deborah at Collins-Burke Funeral Home on Friday, September 26, 2025. The family will receive loved ones from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. followed by a burial service at Walker Memory Gardens.

Deborah is missed dearly and survived by her loving children: Stephanie Warren (Stephen), Stacey Love (Christopher), and Barry Nix; her loving grandchildren: Isabella Schroeder and Kolden Nix. (And her beloved dogs, Jack and Beethoven)

Deborah was known for her kind heart, loud laugh and playful sense of humor. If she joked with you, she liked you. Deborah found joy in preparing meals for those she loved. Her banana pudding and jambalaya will always be family favorites. She was a graduate of Bevill State Community College and also majored in Psychology and Art at the University of Alabama. She enjoyed the company of others and meaningful conversation. She never met a stranger and  took time to listen to those around her. She was affectionately called “mama” by all her childrens’ friends. Her legacy was reminding others that no matter what happens, they were always enough.

Deborah was preceded in death by her parents, Dean Moles and Nancy Faye Ernsberger (Don); her sister, Neana Shell Johnston; her Grandma and Grandpa Lee; and her late husband, Thomas Nix.
