Dayton Ezzell Benson – Obituary

Dayton Ezzell Benson, 83, of Russellville, passed away Saturday, May 5, 2018, at his residence. A native of Franklin County, he attended the Church of Christ and was retired from Reynolds. He was a Mason and member of Union Local 300. In his retirement, Dayton particularly loved gardening, eating with his Outback family, and riding the Kubota whenever he needed or desired.

Graveside services were Monday, May 7, 2018 at Belgreen Cemetery at 11 a.m. burial following. Mike Morrow officiated.

Surviving Mr. Benson are his children, Debbie Benson and Shirley Seal; brother, Bill Benson and wife, Ruth; and his special buddy, Red Boy. Other family members include Chris Hilderbrand and wife, Missy, Adam Hilderbrand, Josh Lewey and wife, Ashton, Rylin, Jay, Ayla, all who knew him as Paw Paw. Nieces, nephews, and friends also survive him.

Preceding Mr. Benson in death were his wife, Lorene Benson; and his parents, Joe W. Benson and Vera Ezzell Benson; and brother, Wayne Benson.

Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville, is directing.
