David Wayne Bailey, 63, of Jasper, passed away Thursday, March 4, 2021, at Princeton Baptist Medical Center. A graveside service will be held Saturday, March 6, 2021, at 2 p.m., at Walker Memory Gardens, directed by Kilgore-Green Funeral Home. Sam Bynum will officiate. David put on Christ in the waters of baptism and faithfully served the Lord for many years. He was an active member of the Valley View Church of Christ in his younger years and the North Jasper Church of Christ until his race was finished. He loved the Lord and his Christian family and served them faithfully. Aside from being a dedicated Christian, he was an incredibly loving husband to his wife Barbara of 42 years. He was also a caring and involved father to his son Jeremy of 40 years and his daughter in law Jessica for 16 years. Probably his most cherished times were being a happy, fun, and good Paw-Paw to Cole and Cady for 10 years. He loved fishing and playing with those grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Herbert Bailey; brother, Bruce Bailey and father-in-law, Elvin German. He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Bailey; son, Jeremy Bailey (Jessica); grandchildren, Cole and Cady; mother, Latrieve Bailey; brothers, Larry Bailey (Sheila), and Wendell Bailey; in-laws, Nell German, James German (Lisa), Joe German (Vonda), Roger German (Annette) and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
