David Russell Kent Sr. age 65 of Athens, passed away on Monday, October 6, 2014 at his residence. Mr. Kent was born December 19, 1948 in Morgan County to Lloyd Clyde Kent and Myrtice Virginia Prater Kent.
Services for Mr. Kent are Thursday, October 9, 2014, at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 8, 2014, from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Johnson’s Chapel Cemetery with Ben Sides officiating.
He is survived by his wife, Julee Kent; daughters, Deborah Adams and Lisa Kent; sons, David Russell Kent Jr. and Lloyd Edmon Kent; brother, Robert Kent; sisters, Cathy Starr, Janice Keyes and Eloise West; 16 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and numerous other family and friends.
Preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd Clyde Kent and Myrtice Prater Kent; brother, Clyde Mickey Kent; sister, Annie Hatfield.
Pallbearers are James Morgan, Corey Morgan, T.J. Taylor, Todd Taylor, J.J. Sanford, Neil Lester, Jason Miller and Michael Bean.
