Mr. David R. Garrett, age 76 of Athens, AL passed away on Saturday, July 13,
2019 at Huntsville Hospital. Mr. Garrett was born on September 14, 1942 in Columbia, TN (Maury County) to Gwen Dolphus Garrett and Era Knight Garrett.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Eddie Garrett.
Mr. Garrett is survived by his wife, Linda Garrett; daughter, Tammie Hathaway; sons, Ty Garrett and Greg Adams; grandchildren, Tavia Robinette (Glenn), Meighan Winton, Bess Adams, Tylee Kay Garrett, Jesse Ballard and Josie Ballard; great-grandchildren, Makenna Robinette and Deklan Hoyt Robinette; sister, Faye Pyland and several nieces and nephews.
Services for Mr. Garrett will be at 3:00PM on Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at Truth Baptist Church with Donald Terry officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00-9:00PM on Tuesday, July 16, 2019 at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home. The body will lie in state on Wednesday, July 17, 2019 from 11:00-3:00 prior to the service. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Ken Garner, Glenn Robinette, Matt Roberts, Dennis Clem, Jared Winton, Charles Collins and Freddie Addie.
