David Lowell Springer, 84, of Leighton, passed away September 18, 2025. Visitation will be Saturday, September 20th at Old Brick Presbyterian Church from 11:00 – 12:00 pm with the service starting at noon, Shane Swinney and Carl Malm officiating. Burial will follow in Old Brick Cemetery.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Lowell and Eddie Springer and sister, Dixie Tidwell.
David is survived by his loving wife of sixty-one years, Linda Springer; son, Corey Springer (Mitsy); granddaughters, Sydni Post (Robert) and Nataleigh Springer.
David served as a bivocational minister for sixty years, dedicating his life to both faith and education. Over the span of twenty years, he taught various science classes at four different schools. He was well known for his sharp wit and sense of humor, which endeared him to many. In his free time, David enjoyed reading, following sports, and cheering for the Atlanta Braves. He loved his family very much and he will be missed by them and his loyal canine companion, Cody.
