David Lewis Morris of Waynesboro, TN was born September 8, 1951 in Hohenwald, TN, the son of the late William Coy and Frances Marion Pulley Morris. He was united in marriage to Dorothy Dixon on May 19, 1973.

Mr. Morris was a central office technician with TDS Telecom and was a member of the Green River Tabernacle in Waynesboro, Tennessee. He was a United States Army veteran and former Tennessee National Guardsman.

Mr. Morris departed this life suddenly on Saturday, July 14, 2012 at Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital in Florence, Alabama at the age of 60 Years, 10 Months, 6 Days.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Dixon Morris of Waynesboro, TN; brothers, Earl Morris of Hohenwald, TN, Harold Morris of Clifton, TN, Franklin Morris of Hohenwald, TN, Charles Morris of Waynesboro, TN, Don Morris of Clifton, TN, Virgil Morris of Savannah, TN; a sister, Kathleen Livingston of Brownsville, TN; several nieces and nephews.

Services were held on Monday, July 16, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Shackelford Funeral Directors Chapel, Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Larry Janes officiating. Burial with military rites were in Memorial Gardens, Waynesboro, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County, directing.

Pallbearers were Allen Dixon, Jeremy Pope, Billy Joe Martin, Bobby Morris, Stacy Mayberry, and Dwight Prince.
