Dannie R. Gilliam passed away on January 17, 2021 at Athens Hospital.
Dannie was born on December 13, 1944 to Richard and Velma Gilliam.
Dannie was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, one sister, one niece, and one nephew.
He is survived by his daughter, April Gillman and husband Scottie, two grandchildren, Destiny and Ethan Gilliam, three nieces, Jeannie Boles, Beth Bates and Kristen Williams, five nephews, Keith, Don, David, Barry Gilliam, Zachary Smith, and several great nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Timmy Boles, Dexter Douglas, Scottie Gillman, Chris Williams, Keith Gilliam, and Jerry Bates.
The funeral service will be Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at 2 p.m. at McConnell Funeral Home. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 21, 2020 from 5-8 p.m. at McConnell. Burial will be at Antioch Cemetery.
