Dalton  Cole Thompson Dalton Cole Thompson, age 23 of Huntland, passed away on Monday, December 28, 2020 at Southern Tennessee Regional Health Systems. A native of Franklin County, he was born on December 23, 1997 in Winchester. He was currently employed as an auto mechanic at Russell Barnett Ford. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed duck hunting, working on race cars and dirt bikes, and mountain riding. But most of all, he loved spending time with his family, especially his kids. Dalton was the light in his kids’ eyes…they couldn’t stand to be without him. He will be remembered for his kind, compassionate soul, always helping those in need, and for his fun, loving nature and smile. Dalton was preceded in death by his grandfather, Douglas Thompson; great-grandparents, Barbara Henshaw, and James Dudley; and brother, Austin Vann. He is survived by his mother, Deborah (Carlos) Vann of Elora; father, Jamie (Marlene) Thompson of Huntland; children, Peyton Thompson of Belvidere, Jagger Thompson of Huntland, and Riley Thompson of Huntland; brothers, Caleb Thompson of Elora, Chris Thompson of Elora, and J.R. Meeks of Lynchburg; sister, Whitney Brooks of Tullahoma, and Hailey Vann of Winchester; grandparents, Rebecca Dudley of Estill Springs, Carlton and Carolyn Vann of Huntland, and Katie Thompson of Huntland; girlfriend, Karleigh Wells of Huntland; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Visitation will be from 5-8 pm on Saturday, January 2, 2021 at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 pm on Sunday, January 3, 2021 in the Moore-Cortner Chapel.
