Dale Lee Gibbs passed away peacefully at his home in Brownsboro on August 7, 2026. He was born on January 20, 1961, in Birmingham to Jerry Leonard Gibbs Sr. and Kathryn Pruett Gibbs. He spent his growing up-years in Blount County, before moving to Huntsville and graduating from Grissom High School. He worked at Russel Brothers for several years before opening Action Auto Electric Service in 1990 serving the Huntsville area until he retired in 2022. He was an Eagle Scout and a lifelong sportsman. He enjoyed camping, fishing, tinkering, but more than anything he loved hunting. He spent much of his life and retirement years camping and hunting whitetail deer.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Jerry Leonard (Len) Gibbs Jr.
He is survived by his wife of almost 33 years, Teresa Wilks Gibbs; children Joy Elizabeth Gibbs and Brent Lee Gibbs; brother Cary Pruett Gibbs and wife, Diane; sister-in-law, Athelia Gibbs; grandchildren, Madison Gibbs, Gavin Green, Crosslee Bevill; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 10:00AM to 12:00 Monday, August 10th at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. Burial will be at 1:30 PM at New Canaan Baptist Church in Arab, Alabama.
