Funeral service for Curtis N. Parker, age 47, of Decatur, will be today, April 17, 2016, 3 p.m. at Westmeade Baptist Church with Rev. Scotty Hogan officiating and Shelton Funeral Home directing.The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service. Interment will be in East Lawrence Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Parker, who died Friday, April 15, 2016, at Decatur Morgan Hospital, was born July 11, 1968, in Decatur, to Hillard Parker and Judy Cross Terry. Mr. Parker was preceded in death by his father and brother, Todd Parker.
He is survived by his wife, Kim Hood Parker; two children, Jackson Parker and Jordan Parker; mother and stepfather, Ray and Judy Cross Terry, of Trinity; brother, Wendell Parker (Jennifer), of Ft. Payne; and his in-laws, Boyce and Linda Hood, of Decatur.
Pallbearers will be Rockie Compton, Bobby Gardner, Marty Lentz, Joel Little, Jerry Sparkman, and Dustin Wright.
Honorary pallbearers will be Tracy Lentz and Ret. Col. Curt Higdon.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Decatur Heritage Christian Academy or Westmeade Baptist Church Music Ministry.
