Craword Wayne Howard, 73, of Huntsville, passed away Thursday. Crawford was a native and lifelong resident of Huntsville, which he dearly loved. A member of the Huntsville City Planning Commission for 21 years, he served as Chairman for 16 years, was a member of the Huntsville Police Citizens Advisory Council, the North Alabama Officiating Committee and was a member of the Huntsville Jaycees for over 15 years. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife: Patricia Ann Howard; daughter: Tammy Howard Owen (Robert); two sons: Tim Howard (Elizabeth) and Todd Howard (Stacey); sister: Judee Houston (Jay); nine grandchildren; two step- grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Friday, August 15th from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Berryhill Funeral Home with a Chapel service Friday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Coy Halmark officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
