Mr. Cranford Lee Maze, age 72, the Shady Grove Community of Guntersville, Alabama passed
away Thursday, December 5, 2024 at Huntsville Hospital. Cranford was born July 26, 1952 in
Marshall County, AL to Carman Alfred Maze and Emma Jean Roe Maze. He grew up in the
New Harmony Community and was a member of New Canaan Baptist Church.
Cranford was a high school graduate and had further his education by earning an associate’s
degree. He considered himself as a self-employed farmer specializing in row crops and poultry.
In his leisure he could be found either hunting or fishing.
Family members Cranford leaves behind to cherish memories include his daughter and son in
law, Miranda “Mandy” and Seth Tedder; grandchildren, Saig McDonald and Sadie Tedder;
brothers and sisters in law, LaWayne and Judy Maze, and Richard D. and Ione Maze; sisters and
brothers in law, Patricia and Dennis Harris, Donna and Jeff Muklin, and Paula Caswell.
The family has chosen to honor Cranford’s wishes for cremation. A Celebration of Life service
will be 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel in Arab,
AL. The family will welcome friends and guests at a visitation beginning at 1:00 pm until the
service begins at 2:00. Brother Junior Plunkett will officiate.
