
Earl was a devoted family man and a true Southern gentleman, known for his deep love of show horses and his skill and passion for skeet shooting. Whether in the ring or at the range, Earl brought the same quiet strength, focus, and grace that he carried throughout his life.
He is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and four sisters. He now joins them in eternal rest.
Earl is survived by his beloved wife, Janice Gibbs; his daughter, Gwen (Duncan) Gardner; his son, Jason Gibbs; and his cherished grandchildren, Ryan Morris, Bella Gardner, and Eason Gibbs. His legacy of love, laughter, and steadfast values lives on through them.
Pallbearers honoring Earl’s memory will be Jason Gibbs, Eason Gibbs, Ryan Morris, Wayne Hammonds, Todd Hammonds, Byrum Hammonds, Neal Clemons, and Mark Clemmons.
A visitation for Coyce will be held Wednesday, June 11, 2025 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Collier-Butler Funeral Home, 824 Rainbow Drive, Gadsden, AL 35901. A funeral service will occur Thursday, June 12, 2025 at 2:00PM at Collier-Butler Funeral Home. Pastor Roger Waggoner will officiate.
