Cora Evelyn Pruitt, 85, passed away Monday, February 28, 2022 at her daughter’s residence in Hodges, AL. She was born in Fairview, MS to James and Mary Francis Morris. She was a seamstress and drove the paper route.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 2, 2 p.m. at Life Unlimited Church in Golden, MS with Bro. Toby Allison officiating. Burial will be in Hodge Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by five children, Steve Parker (Nancy), Billy Parker (Lavoughdra), Mary Dees (Dale Mauldin), Allen Pruitt (Sue) and David Joe Pruitt; seventeen grandchildren; forty-one great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren and one sister, Flora Fennell.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ruble Pruitt; two children, Stanley Pruitt and Toni Pruitt and several brothers and sisters.
Pallbearers will be Clifton Pounders, William Pruitt, Dustin Cunningham, David Brand, Mark McMillen, Dakota Pruitt and T.J. Pruitt.
Visitation will be Wednesday, March 2, 11-2 at Life Unlimited Church.
