Dr. Clyde José Fontes, age 68 of Decatur, passed away on November 10, 2016, at Huntsville Hospital. Dr. Fontes, an area chiropractor for 40 years, born on August 27, 1948, was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
He is survived by his wife Becky; four children, Katy Sund (Jimmy), Phillip (Jacqui), Aaron (Vicki), and Richard (Sheila); four stepchildren, Bryan Wallace (Kim), Crystal Wallace, Jackie Wallace (Shawn), and Bryan Myl (Dede); 18 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by wife Charlotte Wallace, son Gerard Fontes, and stepdaughter Christine Pendley.
Visitation for Dr. Fontes will be November 11, 2016 at Shelton Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Decatur Christian Fellowship on November 12, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. with visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Aaron Fontes, Richard Fontes, Phillip Fontes, Jimmy Sund, Mathew Fontes, Jack Wallace, and Tristan Brown.
