Clarence Perry Jr., of Carthage TN, passed away on January 1, 2025 at age 83. The Funeral Service, conducted by Brother Danny Sellars, is 2 p.m. Saturday, January 4, 2025 in the chapel of Sellars Funeral Home, Lebanon TN. Interment in Smith County Memorial Gardens will follow the service with family and friends serving as Pallbearers. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the service at 2 p.m. The family request Memorial Donations be made to any Alzheimer organization.
Clarence Albert Perry Jr. was born in Nashville TN to Mildred Kimbro Perry and Clarence Perry Sr. He married his partner for life, Thelma Duke, and they built a family, a life, and a business, Perry Roofing, together. Clarence enjoyed fishing and hunting and was a member of the Church of God in Carthage.
Mr. Perry is survived by his wife of 57 years, Thelma Duke Perry; children: Millie (John) Sloan, Clarence E. Perry, and Steven A. (Tera) Perry; 10 grandchildren; brother: Charles (Joyce) Perry; nephew: Chuck Perry; niece: Michelle Peach; many beloved great-nieces and great-nephews; and special dogs: Princess and Ruby. He is preceded in death by his mother Mildred Sullins and father Clarence Perry Sr.
