Clarence Darrow Cockrell Clarence Darrow Cockrell, 89 of Haleyville, passed away Saturday, November 17, 2018. He was born January 18, 1929 to Houston and Sarah H. Cockrell. He was a life long resident of Haleyville and a member of the Church of God of the 7th Day.

Visitation will be Sunday, November 18, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home in Haleyville, where the service will be held Monday at 9:30 a.m. . Burial will be at Double Springs Memorial Cemetery (Cockrell West). James Woodall and Colin Cotham will officiate the service.

Clarence is survived by his Wife of 67 years, Ola Garrison Cockrell; sons, Everett (Patricia Purser) Cockrell and Clayton (Konnie Lowman) Cockrell; Daughter, Beverly (Randy) Jones; Sister, OnaMae Payne; grandchildren, Rebecca (Philip) Julian, Michael (Jenni) Cockrell, Jamie (Craig) Wakefield, Clay (Jesika) Cockrell, Lisa (Bo) Hubbard, and Lori (Bobby) Crook; and great-grandchildren, Philip Julian, Jr. , Jordan Julian, Zakary Julian, Brenna Cockrell, Emma Cockrell, Sammuel Cockrell, Brookleigh Cockrell, Carter Cockrell, Sawyer Hubbard, Jackson Crook, Caroline Crook, Jacob Crook, Grant Wakefield, and Gracie Wakefield.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Wesley, Travis, Amos, and James Cockrell; and sisters, Pearl McBride and Ruby Kennedy.
