Christopher Lynn Stagner, age 60, of Springfield, passed away Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at the Hendersonville Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 1pm Monday, December 9th, in the chapel of the Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield with Bro. Tim Harris officiating. Burial will follow in the Mount Sharon Cemetery with members of the Springfield Fire Department serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 3-6pm Sunday, and again from 11am until time of the service at 1pm Monday, at the funeral home.
Mr. Stagner was born May 1, 1964 in Springfield, to Donald Richard Flatt and Sue Ann Stagner. He was a Firefighter for the City of Springfield for many years.
Mr. Stagner was preceded in death by his father, Donald R. Flatt; grandparents, Joseph and Gertrude Stagner; and a niece, Candice Goodwin.
He is survived by his sons, Brandon Stagner, and Daniel (Kelsey) Stagner; mother, Sue Ann Stagner; granddaughters, Leah Caroline Stagner, and Rachel Elizabeth Stagner; brothers, Scottie Stagner, and Tim “Snoopy” (Kellie) Stagner; sister, Renee (Christopher) Stagner-Holland; a special nephew, Avery Holland, and many other nieces and nephews.
Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield is in charge of these arrangements.
