Christine Berryhill Minor, of Leighton, passed away on Monday, July 31, 2017 at the age of 87. Her visitation will be Thursday, August 3, 2017 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Wayne Green officiating. She will be buried in Vandiver Hollow Cemetery.
Christine was a native of Colbert County and a member of the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church. She loved traveling, singing, gardening, and most of all God and her family. She was preceded in death by her first husband of 44 years, Raymond Berryhill, and her husband of 6 years, Charles Minor; and siblings, Lena, Grady, Bob, Louise, and infant sister.
Christine is survived by her children, Marilyn B. Williams (Steve) and Lyla Bailey (Jimmy), J.D. Berryhill, and Kim Michael; stepsons, Jimmy (Jackie) and Ray Minor (Debbie); sisters, Irene Austin and Loretta Dickerson; 11 grandchildren; a number of great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and other relatives.
Pallbearers will be Will Counts, Leroy Archer, Dylan Michael, Alex Michael, Steve Dickerson, Tim Palmer, Miles Nesbitt, and Matthew Sprinkle.
The family expresses heartfelt gratitude to first responders.
