Chris Lindsey Gibbons, 84, of Toney, Alabama passed away Monday, August 8, 2022 at Huntsville Hospital, Huntsville, Alabama. She was born Monday, June 6, 1938 in Moultrie, Georgia to George Mack Lindsey and Clarice Weldon Lindsey.
Mrs. Chris has lived in the Ardmore area for six years and was a member of Grace Place Baptist Church where she loved her Bible study. She was married for 54 years to the love of her life and enjoyed her time as a military spouse for 30+ of those years.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bruce Harvey Gibbons; brothers, George Lindsey, Jr (Essie) and Gene Lindsey; sisters, Nadine Sager (Skip) and Catty Raum (George).
She is survived by sons, David Bruce (Elizabeth) Gibbons and Keith (Tiffany) Gibbons; daughter, Lori (Buddy) Jarrett; sister, Marie (Lark) Daughtry; sister-in-law, Joyce Lindsey; grandchildren, Torrance, Landon, William, Jessica, Kristen, Genifer, Delaney, Shae, Lindsey, Colbi Layne (Blake), Blake (Mallory) and Roxanne (Bo); 20 great grandchildren; 8 great-great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and host of friends.
There will be a Graveside Service Monday, August 15, 2022 at 2:00 PM (EST) at Andersonville National Cemetery, Andersonville, Georgia with Andy Daughtry officiating.
